Online event: How do we improve sanitation in the slums?

Engineers Without Borders has worked for many years to improve sanitation conditions in the slums of Sierra Leone. On the occasion of World Toilet Day, we focus on how we can overcome the sanitation problems.

In connection with the international congress World Water Congress & Exhibition (IWA WWCE2022) in September, EWB-DK had the opportunity to invite a representative from the international NGO Slum Dwellers International (SDI) to Denmark to speak on behalf of the slum dwellers. Yirah Conteh emphasized here that the changes are created from below and brought his insights from the slums of Sierra Leone, which were discussed in a well-planned panel.

A really interesting and summarizing report has come out of it.

Join our online event on Monday 21st November.

Here, Bo Neergaard Jacobsen, IUG volunteer and responsible for the IWA workshop, and Yirah Conteh from SDI will talk about the recommendations from the report and make us smarter about how we can create change from below.
