Anders Arnum Jensen, Managing Partner at Emendo Group, says about the new partnership:

"Our ambition is to create good stories; The best story is being able to give to people in need."

Initially, the company will assist with technical sparring in a project in Zimbabwe that aims to help small-scale tea growers out of poverty by starting a white tea production in the Honde Valley district. Production will not only include white tea, but also green, oolong and black tea. Emendo's knowledge and experience with with technical processes and production solutions is this context very relevant.

In this connection, several consultants from Emendo have been integrated into the project and, together with their colleagues and volunteers from EWB-DK, they will advise on technical, business, and administrative aspects, as well as helping the local association in Zimbabwe to develop a sustainable tea production and build their organizational structure so that they can independently conduct business outside of international producers.

The team from Emendo that will participate permanently in the project consists of Nikolaj Arslev, Lead Consultant from Emendo Improvement and Lærke Ulbæk, Junior Consultant from Emendo Improvement.

At Engineers Without Borders, there is great excitement and anticipation for the new corporate membership:

"At Engineers Without Borders, we greatly appreciate the fact that we can attract such interesting companies as Emendo in partnership with EWB-DK.

At the same time, we are very happy that Emendo has chosen to enter an active partnership, where the employees will offer their technical expertise in some of our projects and thus contribute with Danish know-how and the fulfillment of the UN Sustainable Develoopment Goals.

It will be really exciting to follow along," says Bent Michael Nielsen, Chairman of EWB-DK.
