Donation from Polytech secures children's schooling in Uganda

Polytech has entered into a new premium company membership with Engineers Without Borders and has chosen to bring Danish know-how to school children in poor rural areas of Uganda and.

The region is one of the places in the world with the most frequent lightning strikes and with Polytech's knowledge and technical know-how on lightning discharge, is an entire school compound with teacher housing and classrooms now secured against lightning.

“We are proud to be joining Engineers Without Borders – Denmark. It has always been very important to us to give back to local communities and promote sustainable development. With our wide range of engineering expertise in-house, we are looking forward to contributing to projects with other donors.

We firmly believe that collaboration and innovation is the way forward, especially if we want to build a sustainable future. Because if we use our skills and abilities at the right place and the right time, we can go a long way together. It is also important to remember that humanitarian and environmental disasters are not confined to borders – and our consideration and help should not be either.”
