Thousands of water towers in Sierra Leone currently stand unused, even though they could provide thousands of people with access to clean drinking water. Through this project, IUG will rehabilitate selected towers in the Kenema District while simultaneously introducing a monitoring system that strengthens cooperation between local communities and authorities. The experiences gained will form the basis for national improvements in the operation of more than 10,000 water points across the country.
