“HELP MUST GO WHERE IT MATTERS”
For some, it may feel like a difficult decision—to leave a secure leadership position at Ramboll to help civilians in war-torn Ukraine.
For our volunteer engineer, Thomas Friis Jensen, it’s simply the obvious choice:
“It’s so close… you have to help where it matters most, and that’s where it makes the most sense.”
In his everyday work, Thomas—52 years old—handles district heating and renovation projects as a project manager at Ramboll. He can put those same skills and experience to use when going on missions with us.
In Ukraine, it all takes on even greater meaning, as his work directly helps people suffering from more than three years of daily Russian attacks:
“If you’re wondering whether the little you can do actually makes a difference, you can be absolutely sure that it does!” says Thomas, who simply wants to get going “next time, as soon as possible.”
