Happy International Women’s Day

Shukri H., Yaroslava Martyniuk, and Tity Simbo Kamara may come from different countries — Kenya, Ukraine, and Sierra Leone — but they are united across borders by a shared motivation: creating positive change in their communities.

At Engineers Without Borders, we strive to build a better future for everyone in the communities we work with. Some of the ways we are currently working to empower women include rebuilding a STEM school for girls, supporting menstrual health for schoolgirls, and strengthening local female entrepreneurship.

This week, to celebrate International Women’s Day 8. March, we’re highlighting just a few of the many fantastic women working with us to make a difference around the world. Follow along as we introduce Shukri, Yaroslava and Tity and the important work they do.
