Happy World Engineering Day

“With great power comes great responsibility”

The famous line may come from Spider-Man, but on World Engineering Day it feels especially relevant.

Our engineers gain their “powers” not from radioactive spider bites, but from years of studying, problem-solving, fieldwork, and building knowledge. And we believe that counts for even more. Because at Engineers Without Borders, we believe that professional skills come with a responsibility to use them where they are needed most.

Today we celebrate all the engineers who volunteer their time and expertise to make a difference. Last year alone, our volunteers spent 1,164 days in the field – not counting the countless hours dedicated to projects from home.

Thank you to all of you. Without our volunteers, there would be no Engineers Without Borders 💚
