Help rebuild a STEM school for girls in Sierra Leone
Earlier this year, a fire destroyed Nyapui School in Kenema District, Sierra Leone. We immediately sent a technical response team to assess the damage and provide recommendations for a safe and resilient reconstruction. Our local partner, SEND Sierra Leone, is now leading the rebuilding efforts and has requested continued technical support throughout the project.
How you can contribute:
The role primarily consists of online technical advice and sparring, including:
- Reviewing and validating architectural and structural designs
- Quality assurance and technical monitoring of the construction work
- Advising on procurement, budgets, bills of quantities (BoQs), and technical specifications
- Focusing on safety and resilience during implementation
- Participating in a joint technical advisory group with local stakeholders
Who are we looking for?
Whether you are an experienced specialist or a newly graduated engineer with a desire to contribute, we would be very happy to hear from you. We are looking for skills within:
- Project management
Building and construction - Electrical, water, and sanitation solutions
- Architecture and resilient infrastructure
- Fire safety and firefighting systems
- Quality assurance and technical monitoring
