“It felt like we now have friends in Copenhagen”
This week, we had a very special visit, as a group of young Ukrainian refugees came by to learn more about our work in their home country.
“These are young Ukrainians who arrived in Denmark without their parents because of the war. For me, as a Ukrainian, it is very important to help them feel inspired, connected to Danish society, and more confident about their future in Denmark,” says Svitlana Gorlova Kæraa, founder of Svetas Service, who organised the visit.
“What touched us most was the warm welcome, openness, and genuine human connection. It truly felt like we now have friends in Copenhagen whom we can always visit for a cup of coffee and support each other,” she adds 💛💙
Lasse Oszadlik, Peter Horne Zartsdahl, and Yaroslava Martyniuk welcomed the group on behalf of Engineers Without Borders Denmark. Thank you for spending the afternoon with us 💚
