On Friday, October 22, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Ukrainian Governor of Mykolaiv Oblast, Vitalii Kim, along with a delegation of five mayors from the region’s largest cities. The visit was part of their official program in Copenhagen, which also included stops at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Danish Industry, Danish Energy Agency, and—of course—Engineers Without Borders Denmark. We are very proud that our work in Ukraine with Danish volunteers has led to this visit and a strong recognition from the Governor.
Our Secretary General, Peter Horne Zartsdahl, and the Chair of IDA, Laura Klitgaard, welcomed the guests for a glass and a relaxed discussion of upcoming initiatives and priorities in Ukraine. The afternoon included sharing fond memories and a joint signing of the Ukrainian flag. A big thank you to all participants, Rambøll Foundation, DIS – CREADIS Engineering Solutions & Consulting, NNE, our board, and the many Ukraine volunteers who attended.
