Across Ghana, many communities struggle with non-functioning water systems. The challenges include a lack of standardised methods and technologies, inadequate maintenance of infrastructure, and weak governance structures. Although many actors are working to improve the situation, efforts are often fragmented and characterised by limited coordination and knowledge sharing.
To address these challenges at scale, we are hosting a two-day umbrella conference in Accra in partnership with Global Water Center, Grundfos, and WaterAid. The conference brings together several smaller, stakeholder-led tracks under one common framework. The programme includes hands-on technical workshops, management-level meetings focused on harmonising standards and approaches, and field visits to operational water systems.
The conference provides a strong platform for cross-sector collaboration, knowledge exchange, and employee volunteering across Grundfos’ branches. The goal is to strengthen more resilient, sustainable, and locally anchored water systems in Ghana.
