WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for interns within the following five areas:
Policy & Strategy
Follow Secretary General Peter Horne Zartsdahl
Relevant studies: Political Science, Global Studies, International Studies, or similar.
Tasks: You will work closely with the Secretary General, prepare strategic briefings, help prepare meetings with foundations, embassies, and the board, contribute to development policy work, and produce analyses that make a real difference.
Missions & Preparedness
Follow Mission Coordinator Lasse Oszadlik
Relevant studies: International Security, Social Sciences, Military/Officer training, or similar.
Tasks: You help ensure that our people in the field are prepared through risk analyses, security briefings, and mission training. You also support our deployed volunteers logistically with care and attention, ranging from the right equipment to sometimes life-saving information.
Finance & Administration
Follow Finance Officer Matthias Köppe
Relevant studies: Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration, Cand.soc., or similar.
Tasks: You assist with budgets, donor reporting, and improving administrative processes. With professionalism, structure, and a good sense of humour, you help create order in an often complex environment while supporting our partners and deployed volunteers.
Communications & Journalism
Follow Head of Communications Jeppe Nybroe
Relevant studies: Journalism, Communication, or similar.
Tasks: You create compelling stories for our platforms that strengthen our work to make a difference for people in need. You enjoy working with video, photography, articles, and social media. We have strong ambitions to increase our visibility so we can do more and help more people.
Project Development & Fundraising
Work with our team of international project advisors
Relevant studies: Development Studies, Political Science, Sociology, Anthropology, International Studies, Business, or similar.
Tasks: You contribute to strengthening our projects and organisation through targeted fundraising, from identifying relevant foundations to drafting and refining grant applications with clear content and professional layout. You help develop and update our handbook and tools, support the planning and deployment of volunteers, and ensure structure in practical tasks such as travel expense reports. At the same time, you contribute to collaboration with EWB Student, work with ESG initiatives, and help plan both our anniversary event and an innovation sprint where new ideas are turned into concrete initiatives.
