This project is the third phase and builds on previous initiatives carried out in partnership with the Honde Valley Tea Growers Association. In the region, one large tea-processing company dominates the market and offers low prices to small-scale farmers, limiting their earning opportunities.
The project therefore aims to strengthen the cooperatives’ capacity to independently process and sell tea, enabling local farmers to increase their income. It focuses on enhancing administrative and management skills, providing training in sales and marketing, and improving production techniques at the newly established small-scale tea-processing facility.
