From global challenges to locally grounded solutions

Do you want to use your academic skills to address real-world challenges while collaborating with students across borders?

Curiosity without Borders is a four-month innovation programme connecting students from Denmark, Ghana and Nigeria. Together, you will develop practical and sustainable solutions within areas such as food systems, sustainable energy and responsible production.

The programme is organised by Engineers Without Borders Denmark in partnership with DTU, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana, African University of Science and Technology in Nigeria, and Engineers Without Borders’ organisations in Ghana and Nigeria.

Learn by working on a real challenge

You will join a mixed international team and follow the Double Diamond innovation process: exploring the local context, defining the right problem, developing and testing a prototype, and presenting your final solution.

Local knowledge is at the heart of the programme. Rather than designing solutions for communities from a distance, you will develop them together with students who understand the context firsthand and test your assumptions through conversations with relevant people.

Throughout the programme, your team will receive guidance from experienced mentors from universities and Engineers Without Borders.
