IUG’s trading conditions for membership and purchases in the webshop.
Orders via IUG’s webshop are made by accepting the order on iug.dk
The purchase has gone through when the payment has been accepted at iug.dk
To avoid errors, check that all addresses and any shipping information is correct. It is particularly important that the entered e-mail address, which is used to send confirmation/e-mail receipt as well as e-mails regarding renewal of quota is correct.
In the case of membership, these are ongoing agreements that continue until termination. The buyer will thus be charged a quota payment every year until the agreement is terminated. This is automatically withdrawn from the cards used during payment.
The prices applicable at all times for membership and the purchase of goods are stated on the website.
Payment is made via Dankort, VISA and Mastercard. All prices are in Danish Kroner (DKK) and include all taxes, VAT etc. Payment is made via a secure connection (https). The information entered in connection with purchases paid by payment card is encrypted, and thus only NETS can read it.
Institutions and companies that cannot pay by credit card can choose to pay via invoice – with or without EAN number. Institutions and companies that get a new EAN number must notify Engineers Without Borders of this via email, letter or telephone.
Members receive an email notifying them of renewal 14 days before expiry. If payment does not take place, a reminder email is sent 14 days after expiry and again 30 days after expiry. If payment for the renewal does not take place, the membership agreement is terminated.
The member is registered for automatic payment collection, and payment of the subscription renewal takes place automatically 7 days before expiry.
If the member gets a new credit card/debit card, it is the member’s responsibility to update the card information by selecting “Renew membership” under “Become a member”, where you can pay with a new credit card.
Unsubscribing from automatic payment is done by sending an e-mail to info@iug.dk and stating your name and contact information.
The general right of cancellation of 14 days applies to the purchase of membership. Cancellation must be notified to Engineers Without Borders within 14 days per letter, per email or telephone.
Termination of membership must be notified to Engineers Without Borders per email or telephone. The agreement can be terminated at any time, but fees already paid will not be refunded.
In order for a user to order and pay for membership, the user must register with the following personal information:
Name, address and telephone number so that we can register you as a member.
E-mail address: This field must be filled in so that we can send you an electronic confirmation, newsletters, invitations to events and collection for renewal of the quota or subscription. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by writing to info@iug.dk.
If you take out a support membership in Engineers Without Borders, you can choose to provide your CPR number if you want to have the support amount (the amount you pay minus DKK 100 in the regular membership fee) reported as tax-deductible. We treat your CPR number with great confidentiality and it will only be used for this purpose.
You can easily sign up for support membership without providing your CPR number, however, this means that the support amount will not be reported to SKAT.
When moving or changing an e-mail address, it is up to the member to send the new address per email or telephone.
Iug.dk is responsible for having implemented the necessary technical, practical and organizational measures to prevent personal and payment information from being accidentally or illegally destroyed, lost or coming into the knowledge of unauthorized persons.
The information will never be passed on or sold to third parties.
Credit card information is handled by DIBS and Nets, and the information is not registered or stored in the Engineers Without Borders membership system.
If Engineers Without Borders changes the applicable terms and conditions, all members and subscribers will receive an email informing them of this.
