Your contribution makes a difference

Financial grants to Engineers Without Borders are of great and fundamental importance to the organization’s existence, and continued work to help the world’s poorest and marginalized population groups.

By considering Engineers Without Borders in your will, you help build a better future and help more people to a life out of poverty. With your legacy, you support the work of building schools and health clinics, climate adaptation, ensuring access to clean drinking water and sanitation, waste management and sustainable energy.

By bequeathing even a small part of your inheritance to our work, you are helping to make a difference to the small local communities we work with.

As a humanitarian organization, Engineers Without Borders does not pay housing tax to the state, and the entire bequeathed amount therefore goes uncut to our development work.

What do I do if I want to consider IUG in my will?

A will must be written down and signed in the presence of a notary or two witnesses who do not stand to inherit according to the will. The will typically contains information such as:

  • Name, address and CPR number
  • Who should be considered and with what
  • Who will manage the estate after you

It is a good idea to contact a lawyer and get help in getting the will drawn up.

What do I do if I have already made a will?

It is necessary to make the additions or changes you want to your will. You do this best in collaboration with a lawyer. It does not have to be the same lawyer who made your original will.
