Are you passionate about development and have strong technical competences in the field of construction engineering? Engineers Without Borders Denmark are seeking an experienced volunteer who will contribute in building capacity and conducting needs assessment with partner organization in Nepal during a one week mission, focussing on the needs for technical expertise, knowledge and capacity.
EWB-DK is working keenly on implementation of EU Aid project together with our partners. One of the key components is enhancing technical capacity and organizational strength within our partner organizations. It is important identifying capacity needs or gap in expertise or knowledge within partner organization as they according to EWB-DK strategy of help to self-help are implementing projects. The aim with the particular task assignment is two-fold: Firstly conducting needs assessment in the field of construction identifying gaps in technical expertise, knowledge and capacity within the partner Build up Nepal and local communities. Secondly the transfer of technical knowledge and building capacity in conducting needs assessment within partner organization.
The tasks are to be carried out in close cooperation with the EU Aid Project Coordinator of EWB-Denmark and Build up Nepal.
Your tasks will include:
Relevant academic background (e.g. engineering) Field experience is required – experience from a development/humanitarian context is required.

The goal of project is to build capacity for both north and south partners in order to enhance the set-up for volunteering with EWB. This mission focus is to identify capacity gaps and define volunteer task assignments in the field of construction.
